Army Recruitment in Tuticorin

Recruitments for the following posts in the Indian Army are scheduled to be conducted at Tuticorin from 31st May, 2013 to 4th June, 2013, for youth from Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts.

According to an official release, recruitments are proposed for Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, and Soldier General Duty. The candidates for all the posts should be aged between 17 years and six months and 23.

Applicants for Soldier Technical should have passed Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Applicants for Soldier Nursing Assistant shall be of the same aforementioned age group and shall have passed Plus Two with not less than 50 per cent consolidated marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English ( or alternatively not less than 40 percent in each of the required subjects ). Applicants for Soldier General Duty should have passed SSLC with 45 per cent marks.

For the posts of Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper, the applicants have passed Plus Two with an average 50 per cent marks and alternatively not less than 40 per cent marks in Commerce, Arts or Science.

Graduates can apply. However, the criteria for selection would be based on Plus Two scores.

According to the release, recruitments for Soldier Technical and Nursing Assistants shall be on 31st May, 2013 and 1st June, 2013; for Soldier General Duty on 1st June, 2013 and 2nd June, 2013; and Soldier storekeeper / technical on 3rd June, 2013 and 4th June, 2013.

Army Recruitment Rally in Vijayawada from June 15

The Indian Army, Visakhapatnam office, will organise army recruitment rally for recruitment of various posts in the army from 15th June, 2013 to 22nd June, 2013. Recruitments would be done at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, said the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer G. Satyanandam. Recruitment would be done for soldier technical, soldier nursing, soldier general duty, soldier tradesman, Soldier Clerk and Soldier Storekeeper. Candidates from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Krishna districts are eligible for attending the rally.

For more details candidates are requested to contact the Zilla Sainik Welfare Office or the Youth Welfare Office, Vijayawada, Mr. Satyanandam said.

The event will take place at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation ( IGMC ) stadium. Candidates from Krishna, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts can take part in the recruitment drive.

Army Recruitment Drive in Madurai 2013

2,268 turn up for Army Recruitment on First Day

A week – long Army recruitment drive for candidates from 11 districts began at MGR Stadium at Race Course Madurai on 6th May, 2013.

On the first day, 2,268 job aspirants turned up for selection to the posts of nursing assistants and soldiers ( technical ). After a height check and certificate verification, 1,990 candidates were shortlisted for a physical test to be held on 7th May, 2013 Tuesday, Personal Assistant ( Agriculture ) to Collector A. Jeyasingh Gnanadurai, who is coordinating the exercise, said.

The physical tests include endurance test, pull – ups, long jump and other skills. Personnel from the Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, and officials from the departments of Revenue, Education and Police were verifying the certificates.

Candidates from Dindigul, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Theni, Namakkal, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Erode and the Nilgiris participated.

The district administration and the Madurai Corporation provided drinking water, shelter with adequate lighting and other facilities at the ground.

A medical team was deployed at the venue.

The recruitment is to the posts of soldiers ( general duty and technical ), tradesmen, clerks and nursing assistants.

The exercise will be over by 11th May, 2013, but the medical tests for the candidates who meet all the physical standards will continue for a couple of days at the same venue, said Colonel Tarun Madan, Director ( Recruitment ), Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore.

Banners warning the job aspirants against falling prey to touts were put up in and around the ground.


Army Recruitment Rally from 17th June 2013

The Indian Army will conduct a recruitment rally for the wards of army personnel at Shivaji Stadium on the campus of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre Belgaum in June.

According to a release on Tuesday 23rd April, 2013, the rally for soldier ( general duty ) will be held on 18th June, 2013 and for soldier ( tradesmen ) on 19th June, 2013. Screening of outstanding sportsmen for recruitment as soldier ( general duty ) will be held on 17th June, 2013 from 6 a.m. onwards.

Candidates aged between 17 – and – a – half and 21 years can apply for soldier ( general duty ). Similarly, those aged between 17 – and – a – half and 23 years can apply for soldier ( tradesmen ), the release said.

The minimum educational qualification required for those applying for soldier ( general duty ) is SSLC with a minimum 32 per cent in each subject. Those applying for soldier ( tradesmen ) should have passed SSLC and those applying for housekeeper should have passed class 8.

Those interested can report at the venue along with their relationship certificate ( as per the new format ) signed by the records office. All documents should be filled in Hindi or English. Candidates must bring their original education certificate, caste / community certificate, character certificate, school leaving certificate, nativity / permanent residence certificate, conduct certificate ( signed by the Superintendent of Police ), NCC certificate ( if applicable ), unmarried certificate and other relevant documents, the release added.


Army Recruitment Rally Kerala from 18th May 2013

The Army Recruitment Office ( ARO ), West Hill, Kozhikode is organising an open recruitment rally at the St. Mary’s College ground, Sulthan Bathery, in the district from 18th May, 2013 to 25th May, 2013 for inducting soldiers in various categories.

Candidates from Kannur, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Mahe and Lakshadeep, could take part in the rally.

Recruitment to the category of soldier ( tradesman ) will be held on May 18. Recruitment to soldier ( technical, nursing assistant and dresser categories ) will be held on 19th May, 2013 and 20th May, 2013.

Recruitment to the categories of soldier ( clerk / store keeper and general duty ) will be held from 21st May, 2013 to 22nd May, 2013 and 23rd May, 2013 and 24th May, 2013. On 25th May, 2013, re – enrollment of ex – service men to the Defence Security Core would also be held. Those in the age group of 17 to 21 years could apply for soldier general duty.

The qualification is SSLC with 45 per cent aggregate marks and 32 per cent in each subject.

Soldier Technical

Those in the age group of 17 to 23 with 50 per cent marks in Plus Two or VHSC ( Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English ) could apply for the post of soldier ( technical ).

Those who have passed Plus Two in Arts, Science and Commerce with 50 per cent marks and those who belong to the same age group could attend tests for soldier clerk and store keeper post.

Selection will be as per a written test and a physical test.

Coimbatore Army Recruitment Rally from January 2013

Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, will conduct an open Army recruitment rally for male candidates in Udhagamandalam from 7th January, 2012 to 12th January, 2013.

According to a release, the recruitment is for enrolment in Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, and Soldier Clerk ( SD ) / Store Keeper Technical categories. Candidates seeking enrolment in these categories should be born between 7th January, 1990, and 7th July, 1995. Those seeking enrolment in the Soldier General Duty should be born between 7th January, 1992, and 7th July, 1995.

The drive will be held at HADP Open Air Auditorium, Ooty, for those belonging to 11 districts, viz., Erode, Theni, Dharmapuri, the Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Namakkal, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Tirupur, and Salem.

Screening for Soldier Technical and Nursing Assistant will be held on 7th January, 2013. Candidates applying for Soldier General Duty from the Nilgiris, Theni, Erode, Coimbatore, Salem, and Krishnagiri will attend the screening in 8th January, 2013, while those from Dindigul, Madurai, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, and Tirupur will attend on 9th January, 2013.

The screening for Soldier Clerk ( SD ) / Store Keeper Technical will be held in 10th January, 2012.

Physical fitness tests of particular categories will be carried out the next day of the screening. Sons of servicemen / ex – servicemen, widows / war widows, and NCC certificate holders will be screened on 7th January, 2012 for each category. Recruitment in Territorial Army

The 117 Infantry Battalion ( Territorial Army ) The Guards will organise a rally for recruitment in the Territorial Army on 25th October, 2012 at Anna Stadium, Tiruchi.

The selection for soldier general duty and soldier tradesmen will be held.

According to an official release, candidates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

Persons employed in civil establishments will have to produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer. Interested candidates should be present at the venue at 6 a.m. in sportswear with original certificates and passport size photographs.

Territorial Army Eligibility :

For soldier general duty, the minimum qualification is a pass in X with 45 per cent marks. Candidates should be in the age group of 18 and 42. For soldier tradesmen, the candidates should be in the age group of 18 and 42 and should be a pass in standard X.
