Assam Board Students can easily crack JEE Exam
The Assam higher Secondary Council and Secondary Education Board of Assam ( SEBA ) students can easily crack the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE ). The Assam board has changed the state syllabus with the CBSE syllabus, particularly for Mathematics and Science subjects.
Central board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) conducts JEE Main 2013 in April 07, 2013 for admission in IITs and NITs.
The Chairman of the council, Moshin Ali, said, “In last year, students from the board faced problems while preparing fro JEE because the syllabus was different from CBSE, particularly in Mathematics and Science subjects,”
“There were no prescribed text books for the classes 10 and 12 and the students read books written by the different writers. As a result, there were certain topics included in the SEBA syllabus, which were not included in the CBSE syllabus and vice versa,” said Ali.
To help the students in Assam, council has adopted the syllabus and National Council of Educational Research and Training ( NCERT ) textbooks to crack the JEE, particularly in Math and Science.
Moreover, the human resource development ministry has instructed the council of boards of school education in India to adopt a common question papers all over the country, especially in science subjects as it will make the students to crack any competitive exams.
He also mentioned that the AIEEE is replaced with JEE Main and IIT – JEE replaced with JEE advanced entrance exams and fro the first time CBSE has given the importance to the class 12 marks while preparing the merit list.
The Regional head of CBSE, Guwahati, KK Choudhury said, “The AIEEE and IIT – JEE were separate exams till 2012. But, after the directions from the Human resource development, it was decided to replace the above entrance exams with Joint Entrance examination ( JEE ) conducted in two parts as Mains and Advanced,”
“I have observed that seba students perform better in JEE exams because they have broader knowledge of advanced mathematics. Since the syllabus has changed from this year, let’s see if the students can cope up with the JEE,” said the HR of impact, Jonali Talukdar.
