‘The Hindu – BIT Bonanza’ Program at BIT on May 21

In a novel initiative, The Hindu, in association with the city – based Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT) in Mangalore, will organise a unique career guidance programme that offers a rare chance for 10 students to earn 100 per cent scholarship on annual fee and on – campus hostel charges for engineering courses.

The 21st May 2011 – programme comes with a “Talent Hunt” test consisting of objective type questions covering physics, chemistry, mathematics, general knowledge and quantitative aptitude.

The aspirants will be selected for disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electronics and communication, and computer science and information science.

Founded by Bearys Group under the agencies of Bearys Academy of Learning, BIT hopes to look for future leaders and innovators and nurture them through the programme.

Mohammed Beary, Chairman of BIT, said : “While India has produced high calibre managers holding coveted positions globally, why not (produce some) leaders and innovators ?”

The programme titled, “The Hindu – BIT Bonanza”, will be held in two parts – a 90 – minute aptitude test in the forenoon, followed by a career guidance programme.

Transport will be provided to students and parents to the venue of the programme – BIT Knowledge Campus – between 8.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. from Pumpwell Circle. Lunch will be provided for the participants and their parents.
