Bharathiar University starts Diploma Course at Yun Yang Teachers College (YYTC) – China

Bharathiar University (BU) is all set to offer a three-year diploma programme in Networking and Technology at the Yun Yang Teachers College (YYTC) in China this academic year.

The varsity signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the college in this regard during its delegates’ visit to China recently. .

According to varsity sources, it is a dual diploma programme, and the students will pursue it for two years in China at the YYTC and the third year in BU. Admission will be given to 100 students.

The varsity will appoint a director and coordinator at the YYTC. The University syllabus will be taught at the YYTC.

The Chinese students will come here in the third year and continue the course at different affiliated colleges of the BU.

Talking to newsmen here recently, BU Vice-Chancellor Prof. G Thiruvasagam said the YYTC will disseminate. information regarding the programme and recruit students.

In addition to this, the varsity has signed a pact with Huaihua University, which enables the students from the Chinese University to pursue four subjects vis- a-vis-Business

Management, Computer Science, English and Physical Education under the BU.

Initially, the varsity will take 200 students for the programme and send a’batch of 50 each to its affiliated colleges.

The course fee is 3,000 USD for PG arts programme and for Science programmes, it is 3,500-USD.

“Besides this, we have signed agreements for student and faculty exchange programmes with the Chinese University,”

said Thiruvasagam and added that the students will have to bear only their travel expense while their other expenses will be borne by the Chinese varsity.
