Bharathiyar University Scholars get best Paper Award
A. Dhayal Raj, Junior Research Fellow, Bharathiar University-Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Centre for Life Sciences, has received an award for the best paper at the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Applications held in Kolhapur recently.
According to a university release, Mr. Raj made his poster presentation at the conference that was held at the Shivaji University on “Synthesis of Cobalt Oxide Nanorods by Simple Chemical Method”.
There were presentations by senior scientists from various countries like the U.K. Israel, France, Singapore, Taiwan and Korea. Research scholars made some 230 poster presentations and 190 oral presentations.
M. Hema, scholar at the Bharathiar University-Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Centre for Life Sciences, has received the “Scholar Session Best Paper – First Prize” at the 14th National Convention on Electrochemists held at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, recently.
The convention was jointly organised by the IGCAR, Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology, and Central Electrochemical Research Institute, both at Karaikudi.
Ms. Hema presented the paper titled “Polymer Membrane Based on PVA for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell” at the convention that had more than 150 entries from scholars.
