BLDE Association Colleges re-accredited with ‘A’ Grade
BLDE Association Chairman and Babaleshwar MLA M.B. Patil has said that the A.S. Patil College of Commerce (Autonomous) and BHS Arts and TGP Science College of Jamkhandi have been re-accredited with “A” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Committee (NAAC) here recently.
Mr. Patil said that securing “A” grade, a symbol of excellence, is a really challenging task, particularly by autonomous colleges.
The grade itself speaks of the quality of learning and research atmosphere and infrastructure of the institution.
Colleges with “A” grade will be given special preference in sanctioning grants by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and students who secure degrees from such colleges will be preferred by employers across the globe, he said.
To maintain quality of education in all its colleges, BLDE Association has made it mandatory for every teaching faculty to submit a minimum of two research papers in a month that are worth publishing in top class journals. The performance of each faculty would be assessed by the management.
The association has also collected a list of top 10 institutions in the country and instructed the staff of every college of the association to study the facilities provided by those colleges and the courses offered by them.
A delegation of staff members would also visit the top 10 organisations to study the educational atmosphere there.
The delegation would submit a detailed report to the management by the second week of September this year along with proposals for starting new courses that would help students in the region, he added.
Mr. Patil said that 32 faculty members working in different colleges of the association have registered their names for Ph.D.
This would play a major role in imparting quality education to students.
