Assam Board Class 12th results 2013 are likely to be declared on 20th May, 2013 by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. Students waiting for the Assam HSLC results can now feel quite relaxed after the announcement of date for Assam class 10 and class 12th results 2013.

Assam class 12th result 2013 is expected on 20th May, 2013 and class 10 results on 17th May, 2013 and would be published at the Assam Board official website. Students appeared for HSLC examination 2013, Assam can check their results online at the official website of Assam board by entering their roll numbers.

Earlier, Assam board conducted the Higher Secondary Examination in which a large number of students appeared from different districts of the state and awaiting their results for HSLC Exam.

Assam Students Crack JEE Exam

Assam Board Students can easily crack JEE Exam

The Assam higher Secondary Council and Secondary Education Board of Assam ( SEBA ) students can easily crack the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE ). The Assam board has changed the state syllabus with the CBSE syllabus, particularly for Mathematics and Science subjects.

Central board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) conducts JEE Main 2013 in April 07, 2013 for admission in IITs and NITs.

The Chairman of the council, Moshin Ali, said, “In last year, students from the board faced problems while preparing fro JEE because the syllabus was different from CBSE, particularly in Mathematics and Science subjects,”

“There were no prescribed text books for the classes 10 and 12 and the students read books written by the different writers. As a result, there were certain topics included in the SEBA syllabus, which were not included in the CBSE syllabus and vice versa,” said Ali.

To help the students in Assam, council has adopted the syllabus and National Council of Educational Research and Training ( NCERT ) textbooks to crack the JEE, particularly in Math and Science.

Moreover, the human resource development ministry has instructed the council of boards of school education in India to adopt a common question papers all over the country, especially in science subjects as it will make the students to crack any competitive exams.

He also mentioned that the AIEEE is replaced with JEE Main and IIT – JEE replaced with JEE advanced entrance exams and fro the first time CBSE has given the importance to the class 12 marks while preparing the merit list.

The Regional head of CBSE, Guwahati, KK Choudhury said, “The AIEEE and IIT – JEE were separate exams till 2012. But, after the directions from the Human resource development, it was decided to replace the above entrance exams with Joint Entrance examination ( JEE ) conducted in two parts as Mains and Advanced,”

“I have observed that seba students perform better in JEE exams because they have broader knowledge of advanced mathematics. Since the syllabus has changed from this year, let’s see if the students can cope up with the JEE,” said the HR of impact, Jonali Talukdar.

Assam Higher Secondary Exam March 2013 Time Table

The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council ( AHSEC ) has published the routine for the upcoming Higher Secondary Final Examination 2013 to be held in the state.

The examinations are to start from 2nd February, 2013 to 25th March, 2013 for Old Course Candidates and 18th February, 2013 to 13th March, 2013 for New Course candidates.

SEBA Declares Assam HSLC Board Exam 2013 Timetable

The SEBA ( Secondary Board of Assam ) has announced the HSLC / Class 10 Board exam  time table that is to be held in the year 2013. The exams are to be held in the month of February that continues till March.

The exams for class 10 /  HSLC are scheduled to start from 19th February, 2013 and end on 5th March, 2013.

Environmental Education SEBA

Teachers to be assessed on Environmental Education

The Assam Science Technology and Environment Council will soon start assessing teachers, who underwent environmental education training, introduced by the Secondary Education Board of Assam ( Seba ).

The head in – charge of the environment division, Joydeep Baruah said, “A total of 1,189 teachers underwent environmental education training. We will now assess whether they have implemented the fruits of their training and how well they have imparted the knowledge to students. The name of the programme under which the teachers were imparted training is Seuj Prayas.”

Environment education is compulsory in all levels of school education and separate textbooks have already been developed for the subject. But no modules for training of teachers had been undertaken by Seba. The environment and forest department entrusted the responsibility to orient secondary teachers regarding environment education to ASTEC. ASTEC, in collaboration with the Director of secondary education, Seba and Centre for Environment Education Northeast ( CEE – NE ) planned to train 5,000 secondary teachers covering 3,000 – 5,000 schools all over the state, he added.GK Question Bank CD

“We will complete the assessment procedure before the HSLC exams. The training module is prepared in discussion with the Seba. Specially designed resource materials with activities for the students will be produced for supplementing the current syllabus adopted by the Seba for the subject,” he added.

“The main target is the provincialised / government schools under Seba. For the orientation programme, the schools are selected by the inspector of schools of the district and the teachers, who will participate in the training, is usually selected by the head of the schools. Till date, 13 orientation programmes were conducted in Nagaon, Morigaon, Sivasagar, Cachar, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Karimganj, Udalguri, Sonitpur, Darrang, Kamrup ( rural ) and Kamrup ( metro ),” he added.
