British Council announced IELTS Scholarship Award for Indian Students

The British Council has announced the British Council IELTSĀ  Scholarship Award for Indian students planning to study at universities overseas.

Eight students will be selected from India, each of whom will receive an award of Rs.3,00,000 towards the cost of tuition fees.

Eligible applicants will have an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test score.

“The British Council is committed to building lifelong relationships and enabling young people to achieve their life goals” says Kevin McLaven, first secretary, Education Services, British High Commission, in a press release issued by the British Council.

He added that the Award was being launched in three other Asian countries with a total investment of US$ 60,000/ US$90,000 / Rs.42,00,000.

Award winners will begin a full-time postgraduate program at any overseas university which uses IELTS as a part of its admission requirements and as a reliable measure of English language proficiency.
