Applications invited for Fulbright Program

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of United States Government’s Department of State is inviting nominations from outstanding foreign students worldwide to participate in the 2012 international Fulbright science and technology program.

Selected students would be enrolled for Ph.D. at top U.S. universities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) beginning in fall 2012 for academic year 2012 – 2013, according to the US Consulate General, Hyderabad.

ECA would provide fund for them for three years, followed by support from their U.S. host institution until the completion of their Ph.D. programs.

About 40 awards would be granted worldwide for candidates who demonstrate high aptitude and potential for innovation in scientific fields.

Two or three candidates would be selected from each country. More information on the scholarship and eligibility conditions is available at the US Consulate General’s office in Hyderabad (http://www.hyderabad.usconsulate.gov).
