Campus Recruitment by TCS at Cauvery College

The Centre for University Industry Collaboration (CUIC) of Bharathidasan University, Trichy will organise a mega campus recruitment drive by Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, at the Cauvery College for Women on 12th March, 2011 and 13th March, 2011.

Final year undergraduate students without any arrears till the fifth semester and those who have graduated in 2010 are eligible to take part in the two – day process.

The TCS has announced recruitment for 500 jobs related to transaction processing and back end support services in the domains of banking, finance and accounts, market research, telecom, retail, pharma and knowledge process outsourcing.

Successful candidates willing to work in night shifts will be posted anywhere in South India, according to a press release issued by the University Registrar T. Ramaswamy.

The selection process constitutes a written aptitude test for 30 to 40 minutes on Mathematical ability, logical reasoning and mental aptitude; group discussion, technical interview and the final management round.GK Question Bank CD

As part of the Tata Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility, SC / ST candidates among the participants who failed to succeed in the recruitment drive would be initiated into a 20 – day free training programme on English communication skills and basic etiquette for enhancement of their employability.

The TCS would distribute certificates to them on successful completion of the training programme. Also, they stand a chance to get selected for employment by TCS on the basis of a test and interview after the training programme that would be organised at a later date, the release said.

The university has advised students to register their names for the recruitment drive through their respective colleges, and come to the venue at 8.30 a.m. on 12th March, 2011 equipped with two copies of resume or curriculum vitae, two pass port size photographs, and photo copies of mark sheet (if available), the release said.
