College receives grant to conduct Staff Development Programs
Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology has received grants to conduct two staff development program, each of 14-day duration. The program will be held for teachers of Engineering colleges across India.
P. Anbalagan, Principal of the college, will be the co-ordinator for the “Future Electrical Energy Requirement and Energy Management” program that has received Rs. 2 lakhs. R.T. Yamuna, Head, Department of Chemistry, will be the co-ordinator for the “Environmental Protection through Recycling and Treatment” program that has received Rs. 2 lakhs.
The Post-Graduate Department of Computer Applications of NGM College, Pollachi, has received a grant of Rs.6,000 from Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology.
It is for the project “Online Relationship Maintenance” undertaken by second year MCA student G. Udhayakumar.
He is carrying out the project under the guidance of E. Ramadevi, Assistant Professor of the department.
TIFAC CORE grant
The project of Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) and Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in Textile Technology and Machinery under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has granted a sum of Rs. 46 lakhs towards the final phase of the KCT-TIFAC CORE project of Kumaraguru College of Technology.
The project involves establishing of a manufacturing laboratory and testing laboratory.
