Conduct of Nata for Admission to B.Architecture Course for Academic Year 2008-2009
Attention: Prospective Students, Parents, General Public and all Authorities Dealing with Admission in the 1st Year of 5 Year
Full-time B.Architecture Course.
It is informed to all concerned that National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) has been prescribed by Council of Architecture (COA) as part of the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education in terms of Section 21 of the Architects Act, 1972.
It shall be mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course at any COA approved architectural institution in the country to qualify NATA and they shall not be required to appear in any other aptitude test/examination conducted by any other authority.
All concerned are hereby informed that only such candidates who have qualified NATA and fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by COA shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch. course as well as subsequent registration as an ‘Architect’ with COA under the Architects Act, 1972, which is mandatory to practice the profession of architecture in India.
