Results of Plus Two Examinations likely by May end of Month
Results of Plus Two examinations conducted by the Council for Higher Secondary Education ( CHSE ) are likely to be announced by last week of May and admission process for Plus Three classes may proceed from 1st June, 2013.
There would be no top 20 list of candidates in this year’s plus two examinations marred by controversy of question leak. However, a list comprising names of students who would secure 90 per cent would be published after due diligence is taken in this matter.
Online Common Application Forms for admission into Plus Three classes are scheduled to be made available from 1st June, 2013.
The last date for applying for admission is 15th June, 2013. The Higher Education Department will publish first selection list on 26th June, 2013. The whole process of admission into Plus Three classes will be completed within 52 days.
To facilitate smooth admission process, the State government has decided to open and operationalise Internet facility centre with the help of Common Service Centre ( Jana Seva Kendra ) or private vendor in their locality.
However, colleges would provide electricity and room space for the Internet Facility Centre in the college premises for which the vendor will have to pay to concerned college per allocation.
Besides, Students Admission Management System Helpdesk will be set up to manage the footfalls at the colleges during e – Admission and to provide information on the modus operandi of the project to the students and parents.
Orissa Plus II Instant Exam on 22nd June, 2012 & 23rd June, 2012
Students who failed in a subject in the Plus II examination this year but have an aggregate of at least 35% can appear in an instant test in the paper concerned on 22nd June, 2012 and 23rd June, 2012.
Council of Higher Secondary Education ( CHSE ) Controller of Examinations ( CoE ) Jasobanta Behera said such students can fill up forms in their respective colleges till 8th June, 2012. The CHSE has fixed a fee of 520 to 1,010 for the re – exam for various subjects.
Apart from students of arts, science and commerce streams, this year students of vocational courses will also be eligible for taking the instant examination unlike last year, he said.
Around 2,500 students have failed Plus II in single subjects and are eligible for the instant exam. CHSE will conduct the re – examination in 33 centres across the state.
While each district will have one centre, Khurda, Cuttack and Sundargarh districts will have two each, Behera said.
Practical examinations, if any, will be held on 25th June, 2012 and 26th June, 2012. Vocational students will not need to appear the practical, however. All the theory papers are scheduled for 22nd June, 2012, while the two parts of biology ( Botany and Zoology ) exam will be held on 22nd June, 2012 and 23rd June, 2012.
Behera said results will be published within 45 days of the examination. Admission process of students who clear the instant examination in undergraduate courses will be completed within 20 days from the date of publication of their result so that these students do not lag behind those who have already passed this year, the government announced.
About 70.7% students cleared the Plus II examination, results of which were published on 30th May, 2012. Over 2.79 lakh students appeared the examination in 1,065 centres between 2nd March, 2012 and 2nd April, 2012.
