DU Admission Process to begin from June 5

Delhi University will begin its admission process from 5th June, 2013; and yes, it will be for the four – year undergraduate course and there will also be some changes in the procedure.

The first step in the usual procedure is for the student to fill out a pre admission form at the university level listing out the college and course preference, which has now been changed to listing out only course preference. After this, the colleges announce their cut – off lists based on demand and unlike earlier years, the name of the student making the list will also be announced.

The admissions are usually done in the mornings with the counters opening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. which usually spills over for another hour or so.

The common pre – admission form will be available both online and offline. In north and central Delhi, it will be sold at Miranda House, Kirori Mal College, Faculty of Arts , Swami Shraddhanand College ( Alipur ) and Zakir Husain College ( Jawaharlal Nehru Marg ).

In the south, it will be available at the Joint Dean Students Welfare Office, Deshbandhu College ( Kalkaji ), A.R.S.D. College ( Dhaula Kuan ), Gargi College ( Siri Fort Road ), P.G.D.A.V. College ( Nehru Nagar, Ring Roa ) and College of Vocational Studies ( Sheikh Sarai ).

In East Delhi, the forms will be made available at B.R.Ambedkar College ( Yamuna Vihar ), Shyam Lal College ( Shahdara ), Vivekananda College ( Vivek Vihar ) and Maharaja Agrasen College ( Mayur Vihar Phase-I ); while in West Delhi it would be available at Rajdhani College ( Raja Garden ), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College ( Punjabi Bagh ) and Bhagini Nivedita College ( Kair, Najafgarh ).
