APSCHE Restructuring of UG, PG Courses 2013
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education is contemplating a major restructuring of under graduate and postgraduate courses in tune with the changing dynamics of the education sector and the competitive job market.
During a seminar ‘Restructuring of Undergraduate Courses and Combinations’ held at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Chairman of APSCHE, P. Jaya Prakash Rao cited the recent initiatives of APSCHE, such as developing a model curriculum at the UG courses during 2007 – 08.
“Educations should strike a balance between the basic subjects and applied courses,” Prof. Rao said.
He also emphasised on providing firm foundation in core subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, etc.
Vice – Chancellor of the University K.Viyanna Rao said that the main objective of the workshop was to identify the need to restructure the existing courses and combinations for the UG student, keeping in mind the advancements in Science & Technology and changing demands from the industry.
The Vice – Chancellor also recalled earlier attempts made by the UGC, APSCHE and other institutions towards making modifications to the common core structures introduced in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Registrar of the University RRL Kantahm, Dean, CDC G.V. Chalam, Managing Director Effrontrics, Rama Krishna were also present.

DSC Notification 2012 released, Exam from 2 May 2012
DSC Exam is an entrance test conducted for teaching positions in Andhra Pradesh by Department of School Education.
Teaching posts include Posts of School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, Language Pandits, Physical Education Teachers in Government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad Schools and Schools under the control of the Tribal Welfare Department and Municipalities in the State through District Selection Committee.
DSC Exam Applications are invited Online through the proforma application to be made available on website http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in from 16th February, 2012 to 17th March, 2012.
DSC Exam Fees :
The DSC Exam applicants have to pay a fee of ₹ 250 / – towards application processing and Teachers Recruitment Test for each post through APONLINE or e – seva centers.
