TN Class XII Supplementary Exam on June 19
The special supplementary higher secondary examination will be conducted between 19th June, 2013 and 1st July, 2013, a press release. Students can apply online at http://dge.tn.nic.in between 23rd May, 2013 and 25th May, 2013.
Students will have to hand over a confirmation copy of the online application to the HM of the school, or the DEO in case of private candidates by 27th May, 2013.
Hall Tickets issued for Class 10th Supplementary Exams
Hall Tickets for Regular Candidates :
The issue of hall tickets commenced on 21st June, 2012 for the special supplementary examinations to be held from 25th June, 2012 to 5th July, 2012 for candidates who failed in one to five subjects in the SSLC / OSLC / Matric / Anglo – Indian public examinations held in April 2012. The hall tickets would be issued till 23rd June, 2012.
K. Lalitha, Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, Vellore, said in a release that candidates who studied in schools till April 2012 and applied for the special supplementary examinations through their schools would be issued the hall tickets in their respective schools.
Hall Tickets for Private Candidates :
Hall tickets would be issued to the private candidates at Cheyyar Education District – Indo – American Matriculation Higher Secondary School ( for both SSLC and Matric ); Tiruvannamalai Education District – T.N.A.P. Government HSS, Tiruvannamalai ( SSLC and Matric ); Tirupattur Education District – T.M.S. HSS, Tirupattur ( SSLC and Matric ); Vellore Education District – Don Bosco High School, Vellore ( for SSLC ) and V.K.V.M. Government Girls HSS, Velappadi, Vellore ( for Matric ).
Preparations on for Board Examinations
The Directorate of Government Examinations is busy gearing up for the upcoming Board examinations. A detailed plan has been chalked out for the conduct of the class XII examinations, to be held between 8th March, 2012 and 30th March, 2012.
The revenue district of Chennai, for administrative purposes, has been divided into three educational districts – south Chennai, with 32 examination centres, east Chennai with 25 centres and north Chennai with 44 centres. A total of 50,293 students in Chennai will take the State Board higher secondary examination, according to a press release from the Directorate.
A meeting in connection with the conduct of the examinations was held at the Collectorate on 15th February, 2012. As many as six flying squads will be headed by the Chief Educational Officer. Each of the educational districts in the city will have four flying squads. Nearly 2,800 school heads will be involved in different capacities such as chief examiner, department officers, flying squad members and invigilators.
Severe action will be initiated against students indulging in malpractices, the press release said. In case students are caught copying, they will be barred from taking the examination for the next two years. Students caught for misconduct could be barred permanently from taking the examination or police action could be initiated.
In case of malpractices involving an examination centre, disciplinary action would be initiated against the head of the centre. In case of a private school, the school’s recognition would be cancelled and arrangements would be made for students to take the examination at another centre. Cellular phones will not be permitted in the examination hall.
Parents have also been asked to take good care of the students giving them healthy food and ensure that they reach the centre on time and safely on all days.
Special Admission Scheme for Private Candidates
The Department of Government Examinations has called for applications from private candidates for the ‘special admission scheme’ for the coming Higher Secondary Examinations, scheduled to be held from March.
According to a press release, candidates applying under the scheme should remit a fee of 1,000 in addition to the examination fees.
The fee should be remitted in any nationalised bank with a demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Director of Government Examinations.’
Blank application forms can be got from the offices of Chief Educational Officers, District Educational Officers, Joint Director ( Education ), Puducherry and from the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations from 8th February, 2012 to 10th February, 2012.
The filled in applications should be submitted in person before Friday, 10th February, 2012.
