DTE Kerala M.Tech Admission 2013

The Office of the Director of Technical Education has invited applications from candidates for admission to M.Tech. courses for the academic year 2013 – 14 in government, aided and self – financing engineering colleges in the State.

Applications can be submitted online up to 12th June, 2013. Candidates are advised to go through the admission procedures available on www.dtekerala.gov.in.

DTE Maharashtra remodel the Technical Education System

Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education ( DTE ), announced its perspective plan in technical education including engineering, polytechnic, management, architecture and pharmacy on 10th September, 2012 ( Monday ).

Stakeholders from across the state can give their suggestion and feedback by 21st September, 2012. DTE has made the draft available on its official website : dte.org.in.

With the implementation of the changes recommended in the draft students might soon enter or exit into technical courses using multiple channels.

Apart from getting in through entrance tests after Class 12, students would be able to enter into engineering courses at any level, after completing BSc in many subjects or after diplomas.

The new system would encourage cross learning where students specializing in electronics can also study other subjects such as humanities or metallurgy.

Innovative methods such as case studies, open – book exams and project based exams would be introduced in technical colleges. Curriculum would be designed in such a way that it focuses on developing communication skills and leadership qualities to increase the employability of students.

The directorate is expecting a key contribution from the corporate as Engineering education in mainly oriented towards industry requirements. Teachers, students, principals, journalists, industrialists can all play a major role in devising the final draft of the perspective plan.

Internship will soon be made a compulsory part of the engineering and management curriculum to ensure corporate exposure. Curriculum will be customized to meet the industry requirements.

Also state would encourage women participation in research work in the technical field by giving them incentives. To enhance the standards of technical education in the state, the draft proposes that institutes should maintain a ratio of 1 teacher per 15 students compared to the present ratio of 1 : 19.

The document also proposes to increase the gender diversity in technical education admission.

Admission to M.Tech. Courses in Kerala Colleges

Applications have been invited for admission to the newly sanctioned M.Tech courses at various Government Engineering Colleges in the State, a press note issued Thiruvananthapuram by the Director of Technical Education ( DTE ) said.

New M.Tech courses have been sanctioned at the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, Government Engineering College, Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram and at the Government Engineering College, Idukki.

Candidates can submit applications online on the website http://www.dtekerala.gov.in on or beforeĀ 24th July, 2012.

Those who have applied for admission to the M.Tech courses – 2012 also can submit options for the new courses.

Details can be had on the DTE website, the press note added.

Karnataka Polytechnic Diploma Results 2012 out now

The diploma results for Department of Technical Education ( DTE ), Government of Karnataka for the months of April / May are out now. The DTE operates polytechnic institutes which are specialised in training students in multiple technical skills.

DTE, Maharashtra opens Diploma Courses Admission 2012

Directorate of Technical Education ( DTE ), Mumbai invites application form for First Year of Post SSC Diploma Courses in Engineering / Technology in Government Aided and such unaided polytechnics / institutes and or such number of seats from unaided institutes commencing in the session 2012 – 13.

Eligibility :

  • Candidates should be an Indian.
  • Candidates should have passed SSC examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% of marks in aggregate with subjects Mathematics, general Science and English.

How to Apply :

  • The Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the office at all Application Receipt Centres ( ARCs ) by paying ₹ 400 / – ( ₹ 300 / – for reserved category ) in cash.
  • Aspiring candidates will be able to submit Online Application form through the web siteĀ http://dte.org.in/poly2012/StaticPages/HomePage.aspx through any computer connected to Internet once the Application ID is activated by the ARC from where Application Kit is purchased.
  • It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the Information Brochure and Application Kit from ARC. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form.

Important Dates :

  • Last date for the submission of application form is 7th July, 2012.
  • Display of merit list on 9th July, 2012.
