Plus Two Students to get Employment IDs along with Mark Sheets

Students who have cleared their Plus Two examinations this year can get themselves enrolled in the District Employment Exchange (DEE) website while they collect their mark sheets from their schools on 25th May, 2011, Namakkal Chief Education Officer A. Vijayaraghavan said.

He told that this system was announced to the Chief Education Officers of all the districts at a State – level meeting held in Chennai on 17th May, 2011.

He noted that a two – day programme will be jointly organised by the DEE and CEO’s office for computer science teachers and teachers with computer knowledge in the 163 higher secondary schools in the district on 19th May, 2011 and 20th May, 2011 to train them on entering the details in the website.

Of the total 26,112 students who appeared for the examination held in March this year only 24,313 who cleared the exam could avail of this benefit, he added.

Students who come to their school to collect the mark sheets could enrol in the DEE website at ease by producing their ration card – for address proof.

Students who cannot produce their ration cards would have to drop into their respective DEE for enrolment, the CEO said.

Differently abled students who have cleared the Plus Two exams could also enrol in the school and approach the DEE on a later date for getting prioritised as differently abled, Mr. Vijayaraghavan said.

According to him, the students from other districts who completed their Plus Two in Namakkal would be automatically enrolled in the district mentioned in their ration card.

All the students would be given a uniform seniority date (25th May, 2011) irrespective of what time their information is included in the website, he stated.

Students who have already enrolled in the DEE after completing their Class X board exams could update Plus Two as their additional qualification by producing their employment ID card along with their ration card, he added.

An official of the Namakkal DEE when contacted said that each school would be provided with a unique username and password to enrol the required data that is collected from the students.

It should be filed before 8th June, 2011 in website. On entering the data the teachers can take a print out of the DEE ID card and hand it over to the student, she said.

If the schools do not have printer facility, the students are advised to make note of the ID number and take a print out of it elsewhere by providing the number in the website, the official said.

This system reduces pain taken by students and their parents to wait in long queues outside the DEE, she added.
