Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital Medical Education Programme

Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and Eye Research Centre organised the fifth edition of its four-day continuing medical education programme titled Kalpavriksha ’11 recently. More than 100 ophthalmologists from across the country participated.

This year, the postgraduate students had a chance to present cases and discuss it with faculty.

Mock Examination

A mock examination was conducted on the last day of the programme, on August 28, 2011 Sunday. The participants also received tips from the faculty on presenting the clinical cases. A case presentation competition was also held.

The event was inaugurated by the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University vice chancellor Mayil Vahanan Natarajan.

Chairman and Managing Director of Dr. Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospital Limited Amar Agarwal said, “For the first time the postgraduates had an opportunity to witness live surgeries. They learnt the basic surgery steps and principle.

The programme was designed to prepare students and keep them abreast of latest happening in ophthalmology”.
