DSRRAU Entrance Exam Eligibility 

Qualification for Admission :

1. Ayurvedacharya Degree ( Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery ) of University of Rajasthan, or Dr. S.R. Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur ( or ) any equivalent examination recognized by Dr. S.R. Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur.

Note : It is the responsibility of the Universities / Boards / Institutions concerned to get their Degrees included in the Equivalency List of Dr. S.R. Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. The University will not be responsible for noninclusion of any qualification.

2. Candidates : Must have completed the Six or Twelve months rotating Internship / House Job, as the case may be, after passing the qualifying examination as stipulated by C.C.I.M., by Dated 05-08-2012.

3. Candidates already studying in MD / MS ( Ay. ) Part – I of these Institutes may appear in the PGET, if they desire so, only after depositing back the entire Stipend received by them to the respective Institute.

Candidates possessing a B.V.Sc. & A.H ./ B.F.Sc. degree of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University or any other University recognized as equivalent
thereof shall be eligible to apply. Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 or 70% aggregate under semester pattern alone are eligible to apply for
admission to M.V.Sc./ M.F.Sc. degree programme. Candidates who have studied under conventional system should possess a minimum of 55% marks in their
Bachelor’s degree. Candidates who have passed B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree under the Veterinary Council of India ( VCI ) regulations should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks. For SC / ST candidates a minimum pass is sufficient.





The selection of candidates for admission to M.V.Sc. / M.F.Sc./ M.Tech. degree courses shall be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Examination and the qualifying examination marks obtained in the B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. Courses.

Food Technology
Candidates possessing a BTech ( FPT ) degree of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University or candidates who have studied a four years degree programme in Food Processing Technology / Food Technology / Food Engineering / Dairy Technology or equivalent Engineering or Technology course from a recognised University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereof shall be eligible to apply. Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 or 70% aggregate under semester pattern alone are eligible to apply for admission to MTech ( FT ) degree programme. Candidates who have studied under conventional system should possess a minimum of 55% marks in their Bachelor’s degree. For SC / ST candidates a minimum pass is sufficient.

PhD

Veterinary and Animal Sciences
Candidates with B.V.Sc & A.H degree and Masters degree in the concerned field of specialization from a recognised University shall alone be eligible to apply ( Except Animal Biotechnology and Livestock Products Technology ). Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 under semester system or 70% aggregate in the Masters degree alone are eligible to apply for admission to PhD degree program in Veterinary and Fisheries Sciences. For SC / ST candidates, a minimum pass is sufficient.
Candidates for PhD degree program will be selected based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and other criteria as detailed below :

Fisheries Science
Candidates with B.F.Sc. degree and Masters degree in Fisheries Science or any other degree recognised as equivalent ( except Fisheries Economics ) thereto shall be eligible to apply. Candidates with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under trimester system or 7.0 out of 10.0 under semester system or 70% aggregate in the Masters degree alone are eligible to apply for admission to PhD degree program in Veterinary and Fisheries Sciences. For SC / ST candidates, a minimum pass is sufficient.

Biotechnology
A candidate with Masters degree in the disciplines of Biological / Biomedical Sciences like Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Marine Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Molecular Biology, Gene Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Genetics, Marine Biology, Fisheries Science etc. from a recognised university with 60% aggregate marks or equivalent OGPA in the respective PG degree. Note : For SC / ST candidates a minimum pass is sufficient.Candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and other criteria as detailed below :

Bioinformatics
Any graduate with a minimum qualification of B.V.Sc., B.V.Sc & A.H., M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.F.Sc., or B.Sc. degree in any branch of Agriculture / Life Sciences / Genetics / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Microbiology / Pharmacology or equivalent of Indian or Foreign University with an OGPA of 3.0 / 4.0 in trimester system or 7.0 / 10.0 in semester system or 50% in conventional system. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates.The selection of candidates for admission to MSc ( Bioinformatics ) will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination marks.

Bio - Statistics
Graduate with BSc (Ag) / BSc ( Hort ) / BTech.( FPT ) / BTech.( Dairy Tech ) or any degree in life / Biological Sciences with an OGPA of 3.0 / 4.0 in trimester system or 7.0 / 10.0 in semester system or 50% in conventional system. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates.The selection of candidates for admission to MSc ( Biostatistics ) will be based on the
marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination marks.

Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosis, Companion Animal Practice, Wild Animal Disease Management,
Candidates possessing a B.V.Sc./ B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to apply with an OGPA of 3.0 / 4.0 in trimester system or 7.0/10.0 in semester system or 50% in conventional system. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates.The selection of candidates for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosis / Companion Animal Practice / Wild Animal Disease Management will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination marks obtained in the B.V.Sc. / B.V.Sc. & A.H course.

12.

Fish Quality Management
Candidates possessing a B.F.Sc., B.V.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H., BSc ( Dairy Science ), BSc (Agi.), BSc ( Horti.), B.Sc. (Home Science) of four years duration, BTech ( Food Technology ) or Post-Graduate degree with Food Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Marine Biology / Costal Aquaculture / Home Science of any recognized University with OGPA 3.00 / 4.00 in trimester or OGPA 7.0 / 10.0 in semester system or 50% in conventional system. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.The selection of candidates for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in fish Quality Management will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination marks obtained in the course(s).

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management

Animal and Fisheries Sciences
A candidate possessing a Bachelor’s Degree in professional courses like B.V.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc., B.Sc., ( Agri ), B.E., B.Sc., ( Horticulture ), M.B.B.S., B.L., of recognized University (or) equivalent (or) any Bachelor’s Degree in Science (or) Arts with an OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 in trimester system (or) 7.0 out of 10.0 in semester system (or) 50% in conventional system shall be eligible. A minimum pass is sufficient for SC / ST candidates.The students are selected duly applying the rule of reservation on the basis of their performance in :

a) Entrance Test
b) Group discussion
c) Personal Interview

DSRRAU Entrance Exam Centres 2012

DSRRAU 2012 Admission Procedure

i. Admission will be subject to the rules & regulation of the respective institutes.

ii. The University reserves the right to correct any inadvertent error in any Merit List and also in the Prospectus.

iii. The Admission Committee shall interview / counseling the candidates and allot the Subjects taking into an account the Scheme of distribution of Reserved seats, Merit lists of respective categories, the order of the Merit of PGET, Preference and Availability.

iv. The right of admission of any candidate who does not complete the prescribed Internship by 05-08-2012 will automatically stand cancelled.

v. Vacancies arising due to any reason shall be filled by reshuffling on the basis of Reservations and Merit – cum – Preference List by 31st October 2012 from the candidates in the Waiting Lists ( Except Central Government and BIMSTEC Nominee Candidates ).

vi Any Application Form received after Date 16th July, 2012; 5.00 pm will not be accepted or entertained in any circumstance. Application Form will also not be accepted by FAX or Email. Applicants are advised to obtain and send the Form well in advance to avoid any postal delay. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.

vii No T.A. or D.A. will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the Entrance Test.

viii More details including reservation of seats for various categories of candidates etc. for a particular Institute can be seen in the Prospectus.

Selection of Candidates for Admission

Selection of the candidates for Admission shall be made by a Admission Committee constituted by competent Authority. Selection of the candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of Final Merit Index calculated out of the Total Index of 100 Marks based on Written Test only.

DSRRAU Information brochure is available on www.dsrrau.org and forms can be filled online at the website : www.dsrrau.org from Date 07th June, 2012 and Date 07th July, 2012 and printout of duly filled application from along with attested photocopy of BAMS ( Final Prof.) Marksheet and Demand Draft of ₹ 2000/- ( for General & OBC Candidates ) and ₹ 1000/- ( for SC / ST Candidates ) issued by any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of “Registrar, Dr. S.R. Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur” must be received by Speed Post to the following address on or before 16th July, 2012 date by 5.00 PM.

DSRRAU Entrance Important Dates 2012

  • Application Form and Prospectus are available from : 7th June, 2012.
  • Last Date for submission of printout, Marksheet & Demand Draft : 16th July, 2012.
  • Date of Entrance Examination : 5th August, 2012.

Declaration of Result

The University, after conducting the Entrance Test, will evaluate the Answer Scripts and notify the Merit List. The Various merit list according different Subject and categories will be available on the Website. No separate mark-list will be sent to the candidates.

Counseling, Merit List, Subject Preference and Allotment

i. The candidates will be called for counseling according to Provisional Merit List. Separate Provisional Merit Lists shall be prepared for each subject and for each category as mentioned.

ii. The Subjects for Central Government Nominees and Nominees of BIMSTEC Countries shall be as allotted by the Govt. of India for Admission National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.

iii. For rest of the Categories, subjects shall be allotted according to Reservations, Merit in the respective Subjects, Preference, Availability etc.

iv. In case of tie, the candidate securing higher marks in BAMS Degree Test shall be given preference. If a tie still exists, the allotment shall be made giving preference to seniority in age.

v. The Actual Admissions in a particular Institute will be subject to the rules and regulations of that Institute.
