eBay to recruit 700 engineers in India by 2016 :
Leading online shopping and auction website eBay will be recruiting around 700 engineers in India by the year 2016, as per statements made by officials of the company. The company has already recruited around 300 engineers in India and plans to increase the strength to at least 1000 in the future.
The American organization has recently established a Global Development Center ( GDC ) in the garden city of Bangalore, India.
Bangalore offers ample opportunities to multinational companies from around the world due to its vast pool of Information Technology ( IT ) talent as well as technological know-how. This is the main reason that eBay set up the center in the city.
The company has a larger center in the city of Chennai as well, which was established in 2007. The center in Chennai is manned by 2000 employees.
Ebay’s future plans include hiring skilled technologists with experience in product development in the following roles :
