CII, Microsoft, TCS representatives to address EPSI Delhi convention
Top Educators, Policymakers and Industry Experts will address a National Convention on “Indian Higher Education – Vision for Quality, Autonomy & Accountability”, to be organized by Education Promotion Society for India ( EPSI ) in New Delhi on 24th March, 2012 and 25th March, 2012.
Key speakers at the inaugural session of the two – day convention beginning Saturday, 24th March, 2012, include Shri E Ahmed, Union Minister of State, MHRD; Dr Pritam Singh, Director General, IMI; Mr Lokesh Mehra, Director – Education Advocacy, Microsoft Corportion ( India ); Ms Shalini Sharma, Head – Higher Education, CII; and Dr.G.Viswanathan, President, EPSI & Chancellor, VIT University.
The industry leaders, who will highlight the changing industry needs and requirements on management front, include Alok Bhardwaj, Senior Vice – President, Canon India; Mr Sanjay Bansal, MD, Ambit Finance; and Shri V Ramaswamy, Director, SME, TCS.

Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH & Alternate President, EPSI, said, “EPSI convention will be focusing on the present opportunities and short comings that Indian Higher Education is facing in the present scenario.”
The speakers will also share their insights on different issues pertaining to the Higher Education including ‘Higher Education Reforms for Promoting Quality, Investments & Innovation’, ‘Engaging Industry for Transforming The Indian Higher Education’, ‘Engaging Industry for Transforming the Indian Higher Education’, ‘Is Single Regulator ( NCHER ) a panacea for the ills of Higher Education ?’, ‘Leveraging Technology for moving towards World Class Quality’, ‘Developing an Eco system FOR Research’, and ‘Art & Science of Developing Leadership In Indian Higher Education’.
A panel of experts including Dr. G. Viswanathan, President, EPSI & Chancellor, VIT University, will also deliberate on ‘Reforming Higher Education and Redefining Role of Private Sector Initiatives’.
