Global Education Summit from December 3
More than 100 universities from across the world and 1,000-odd institutions from India will participate in the Indo Global Education summit to be organised from 3rd December, 2010 to 5th December, 2010 by the Indus Foundation at Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre in Hyderabad.
The Foundation president, S.B. Anumolu said here on Friday that the summit is being organised with an aim to encourage and establish collaborations in education and research and it will also serve as a platform for interactions between university representatives of representing countries.
There will be one-on-one meetings between representatives of various universities for academic collaborations and exchange of faculty and students. It will have sessions on engineering, business and management, life sciences and biomedicine, arts and humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
“It will be an excellent opportunity for students since some of the top universities from all the countries will be present for sharing information and guiding them on admission and administrative procedures,” he said.
An important feature of the summit would be presentation of awards to Indian institutions in recognition of their educational excellence in the fields of arts, commerce, science, law, engineering and medicine.
Former Chief Information Commissioner, C.D. Arha; former Police Commissioner, R.P. Singh and few professors from US universities also spoke.
