Global School of Foreign Trade Admission to MBA courses
Global School of Foreign Trade, a new institution started in Madurai, has started its first batch of admissions to three MBA programmes, which will be offered in tie-up with the University of Madras.
The MBA programmes are in Export and Import Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Shipping and Port Management.
G. Thiruvasagam, Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras, will formally inaugurate the first batch at a function to be held in the city on September 2, 2011.
Addressing a press conference here on August 31, 2011 Wednesday, G. Rajamurthy, Director, Global School of Foreign Trade, said that a business school exclusively for foreign trade had been started in view of the immense potential for employment and the trained personnel needed to meet the demand.
The Madurai-based Global Foundation established the institution and totally 60 students would be admitted to the three MBA programmes put together.
Mr. Rajamurthy had stressed that the Global School of Foreign Trade had gone for a tie-up with University of Madras because it is a reputed varsity in the country and it helps in international career options for successful candidates.
