Encourage Students to score High Marks, Teachers told

The District Collector, T. Abraham, inspected the Government Adidravida Welfare Higher Secondary School in Poovanipattu village in Andimadam union on Tuesday and urged the teachers to encourage the students secure high marks in public examinations.

Mr. Abraham inspected the attendance register and directed the headmaster to direct the parents of the students who did not turn up for classes to meet him personally.

He posed some questions to the students of Plus Two classes to check their general knowledge.

The Collector asked the teachers to conduct special classes to the Plus Two students to enable them to score high marks in the public examinations.

Stringent action will be taken against the teachers in case of students securing poor marks in particular subjects.

The teachers should motivate the students, he said and sought their cooperation for ensuring cent per cent results in all the government higher secondary schools in the district during the current academic year.

Later the Collector inspected the new bore well sunk in Andimadam union and directed the officials to take utmost care in sinking the alternative borewells in the drought prone areas as per government norms.
