Gujarat University Going to Restart its Yoga Centre
Gujarat University has decided to restart the yoga centre which was earlier closed due to lack of students. In this regard, GU has tied up with Lakulish Yoga University. The vice – chancellors of both the universities met each other and decided to start short – term courses.
The Gujarat University Yoga Short – Term Courses will be of Three and Six Months Duration.
The university has allocated building and infrastructure for the yoga centre, acting GU VC Mukul Shah initiated talks with Bansidhar Upadhyay, the VC of Lakulish Yoga University ( LYU ), on 18th September, 2013 to start the defunct centre.
“The courses are going to be for the current GU students as well as those interested in pursuing short courses in yoga,” said VC Mukul Shah. The VC also said that there could be a course of 20 credits for the GU students in the new system of choice – based credit system.
