Hindu Education Plus Career Fair from Tomorrow

For students wishing to get a bird’s eye view of the different career opportunities, The Hindu Education Plus Career Fair 2010, to be held in Chennai on May 21 and May 22, will bring together experts from different fields.

Organised in association with VIT University, the fair will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam.

It will be inaugurated on Friday by State IT Minister Poongothai Aladi Aruna at 9 a.m., with VIT University Vice-Chancellor G. Viswanathan and The Hindu’s Editor-in-Chief N. Ram participating.

A pre-counselling session for engineering and medicine entrance applicants will be held at 10.30 a.m. and an IT EDGE panel discussion will be held in the afternoon starting 2 p.m. to discuss opportunities in the IT industry. A session on core engineering options will follow on the same day.

On Saturday, a session on management studies will be held in the morning to discuss the B-school options. A free psychometric test administered by Bodhi will be conducted for students, who may register at www.bodhi.co.in, at 12.30 p.m.

Following this, a panel discussion on “offbeat” options, including fashion design and UPSC exams, will be held.
