IIM Calcutta offer Masters in International Management Course 2013

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has decided to offer a Masters in International Management ( MIM ) Course in partnership with CEMS, a group of reputed B – schools across the world. The agreement will be signed between the two on 30th November, 2012.

MIM is CEMS’ most sought after programs and will be offered to only few selected students. The tie – up will also allow IIM – C to grow globally. CEMS was formerly known as the Confederation of European Management Schools but its name changed when it planned to welcome leading B – schools outside Europe.

There are at present 28 educational institutes from South and North America, Europe, Australia and Asia under CEMS. It also includes over 70 non – governmental organizations and corporates. The HEC France, London School of Economics, HKUST Hong Kong, Richard Ivy from Canada and Essade Spain are the member B – schools of CEMS.

Selected students will receive an MIM degree from CEMS and a PGDM degree from IIM – C.

IIM – C in the only Indian B – school to tie – up with CEMS to offer international management course and the move will help institute to go global. The new course will be open to the batch of 2013.

As per the agreement, IIM – C will enjoy 3 – year exclusivity with CEMS in the country. IIM – C students will get an opportunity to study in the most coveted B – schools across the globe and in return students of those institutes will be coming to the institute. The move will also help IIM – C to improve the rating across the world.
