Indian Council for Social Sciences Research Fellowship

A research scholar of Department of Psychology and Parapsychology of Andhra University K. Taraka Rama Rao has been selected for the human resource development doctoral research fellowship by the Indian Council for Social Sciences Research.

Mr. Taraka Rama Rao is working on the thesis, “prevalence of attention deficit hyper active disorder and impact of behavioural therapy and impact of Yoga among adolescents : an exploratory study in north coastal Andhra Pradesh”, under the guidance of Prof. M.V.R. Raju.

He is one of the 56 research scholars selected from all over the country. Mr. Taraka Rama Rao was congratulated by Rector P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy and Prof. Raju for receiving the ICSSR doctoral fellowship in Vishakapatnam.

Ph.D Awarded

Sanda Rajitha of the Department of Applied Geochemistry, Osmania University has been awarded Ph.D for her thesis on “Hydro and PedoGeoChemistry in Relation to Land Use / Land cover in Mungi Village – A Remote Sensing and GIS Approach”.

She was guided by Prof. Praveen Raj Saxena.

Rajitha, who hails from Inupamula village of Kethepally mandal of Nalgonda district is the Scheduled Caste women to have secured a Ph.D from the department.

She is also the receiver of Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, according to a press people.
