5 state students bag seat in Institute of Crafts & Design

Five state students have been selected for admission in Indian Institute of Crafts and Design for one-year diploma course.

A government spokesman said, state Handicrafts Development Board would provide assistance to the students for pursuing studies in Rajasthan. Every year the board selects youngsters to provide them training in the field of handicrafts, sculpture and work for handicrafts design development of the state. These students would be taught the utility of traditional knowledge and to evolve it.

Indian Institute of Crafts & Design has been set-up by government of Rajasthan as an autonomous institute to work for the development of craft sector. It provides various under-graduate, post-graduate and certificate courses in all sectors of craft.
