Indian School of Business ( ISB ) invites application for admission to Post Graduate Program in Management for Senior Executives ( PGPMAX ) Course for academic year 2014.
ISB PGPMAX 2014 Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the program the following criteria needed to be fulfilled :
Bachelor’s Degree : The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline. An equivalent qualification will be determined by the Admission Committee of the program and will include the likes of CA, ICWA, etc.
Work Experience : The applicant should possess a minimum of 10 years of full-time work experience as on date of submitting the application ( desired experience is closer to 15 or more years ).

Each component of the application and the interview is important and the selection of the participants for the program will be made considering a combination of many factors including :
- Quantity and quality of work experience e.g. significant responsibility, experience of managing personnel and budgets, etc.
- Evidence of professional success
- Strong communication skills
- Likelihood of benefiting from the program
- Business leadership potential, track-record, traits, attitude / mindset, etc.
- Motivation to participate in the program
- Undergraduate degree performance
- Performance in the interview
- TOEFL / IELTS score ( if applicable )

Indo-Pak B-schools to launch joint executive management programs
The ISB ( Indian School of Business ) in association with IBA ( Institute of Business Administration ), Karachi has decided to launch the first ever joint executive management program in Pakistan. The 2 B-schools are currently working on the program entitled as ‘leadership skills for top management’ in Karachi. They signed a MoU ( Memorandum of Understanding ) in Karachi on April 13, 2012. The initiative aims at introducing top notch executive education programs in Pakistan.
‘Leadership skills for top management’ ( LSTM ) is the first program of the portfolio to be offered to business leaders in Pakistan. The program is specifically designed for business heads, government officials and CEOs to improve their leadership skills and expand by performing exceptionally in a competitive and ever-evolving market. LSTM is ISB’s one of the most successful executive programs in India, which has been imparted to over 1000 senior business leaders in past 11 years.
Both the B-schools are delighted over the commencement of the joint executive program. The global networks of ISB and its in-depth knowledge of growing economies will facilitate in preparing high-performing business leaders and policy makers of Pakistan and train them with best global practices that will help them to pioneer the country’s growth.
The tie-up with ISB will help Pakistan’s corporate managers to interact with the leading practitioners and scholars across the globe and gain new knowledge and tools. CEO’s, directors, senior leaders from sectors such as pharmaceutical, banking and financial institutes, oil and gas, power, infrastructure development, agribusiness, MNCs and government functionaries participated in the program.
The upcoming programs under the partnerships will be offered by the ISB’s faculty members from across the world who will share their knowledge on various topics such as family business, business leadership, entrepreneurship, strategy and other related areas.
This program will strengthen the position of Center of Executive Education ( CEE ) of ISB which is known worldwide as one of the largest executive education provider in Asia. The center has now tie-ups with Sri Lanka, Oman and Pakistan and is aiming to expand further and become the knowledge partner for the industry to cater to the needs of the growing markets.
With an aim to be one of the top 10 B-schools in South Asia and top 100 in the world, IBA is partnering with the premier B-schools of the world. Its partnership with ISB is a part of that objective.
International School of Business and Media invited Applications for Undergraduate Program
The International School of Business and Media, Gurgaon invited application for its three year undergraduate program in Business Administration.
The course encompasses subjects such as Business Organisation and System, Business Accounting, Business Economics ( Micro ), Business Demography and Environmental Studies, Personality Development, Business Laws, Human Resource Management and Organization Behaviour, Entrepreneurship Development and Business Ethics. Apart from all this, the course also offers specializations in Finance, Human Resource Development and Marketing.
In order to be eligible for the course, the student needs to have a minimum percentage of forty five in any stream with English as one of the subjects. 31st August, 2012 is the last date for application to the course.
ISB to commence first academic session at the Mohali from 14th April, 2012
The Indian School of Business ( ISB ) 19th March, 2012 announced that it is set to commence the first academic session at the Mohali campus from 14th April, 2012. This marks the beginning of a new phase of growth for the school after completing a decade of growth and accomplishment, firmly putting India on the world map of management education.
Starting this year, ISB’s flagship Post – Graduate Programme ( PGP ) will be simultaneously delivered across the two campuses Hyderabad and Mohali. The PGP Class of 2013 will have a total class size of ~770 students out of which ~210 students will be at the Mohali campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Savita Mahajan, Deputy Dean and Chief Executive of the Mohali campus, said, “We see the Mohali campus as an extension of ISB and the values that it stands for. Over the past decade, ISB has set several benchmarks and raised the bar for world – class management education.
With the same commitment to groom future business leaders, we aim to replicate the excellence displayed and make a strong impact on the industry through our young professionals who are ready to take the baton forward in the corporate world.”
The ISB will function as one unified entity with a seamless integration across two campuses Hyderabad and Mohali. To encourage cross-learning and increase networking across the campuses, there would be an inter – campus exchange programme. Through a transparent process, an equal number of students from each campus will have the opportunity to choose courses of their choice at the other campus.
The PGP typically commences with the “Orientation Week” where ISB Alumni from previous classes induct the new class into the ISB culture and ethos. This is followed by commencement of the classes. The Post Graduate Programme ( PGP ) is spread over 12 months comprising eight terms of six weeks each.
The Mohali campus has been created with a total outlay of INR 250 Crores. The campus is equipped with state – of – the – art learning infrastructure lecture theatres, a 500 – seater auditorium, high definition video conferencing facilities to enable collaboration across locations, seamless access to digital and online library resources, cashless payments through use of smart cards, and more.
It also boasts of world – class amenities, including fully serviced apartments for students and faculty, cafeterias and cafes, a host of sports and recreational facilities, and support services such as banking, communication, convenience stores, medical facilities, etc. The buildings adhere to the latest international building code and educational – facility – operating standards.
The campus is designed to meet the LEED Gold sustainability criteria, with energy – efficient mechanical and electrical fixtures, rain water harvesting, maximised day lighting and passive environmental controls.
Work on the project is fast progressing towards completion. While the academic block, comprising of the Lecture Theatres fully – equipped with audio – visual facilities, Library resources, Wi – Fi internet access, student cafeteria and book store, etc, will be in operation starting 14th April, 2012, finishing works on the housing block will be completed soon after. The school has made necessary arrangements in nearby hotels for the students’ accommodation during this short period.
Sharing his thoughts on the commencement of the Mohali campus, Analjit Singh, Chairman, Max India and Chairman, Mohali Campus Advisory Board, ISB, said, “The Mohali Campus of ISB is a world class Campus built with an environment for learning commensurate to any outstanding Business School in the world.
