Inter – school English Festival planned

A two – day ‘All Kerala English Language & Literature Fest – 2011’ will be held at Greenwoods Public School at Bekal from 25th January, 2011. The objective of the festival is to create awareness of the relevance and utility of English language in a fast changing world order.

The festival will be inaugurated by Jancy James, Vice – Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala, said M Ramachandran, Principal of Greenwoods Public School.

Around 600 children from across the State are expected to take part in the event.

The programme is hosted by Eleena Resource Centre, Kochi, which imparts soft skill training in communicative English at various schools in the State, Mr Ramachandran told a press conference here on Tuesday.

Competitions will be held in creative writing, debate, public speech, western music and choreography, versification and anchoring. The school that scores the top grade will get the Elenna Ever Rolling Trophy, he said.
