IELTS Test useful for Higher Studies Abroad
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is very useful for getting higher education, immigration and employment in countries where English is used as the language of communication, said Sujatha, marketing executive of British Council, Chennai, here on Wednesday.
Addressing on ‘Road to IELTS’ at a seminar on UK study visas and bank loans organised by the Campus UK of Tiruchi, the British education consultants, Ms. Sujatha said that IELTS was recognised by more than six thousand educational institutions in more than 135 countries in the world.
It covers the four language skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. IELTS has two modules – general training and academic.
Mrs Sujatha said that IELTS would be the real test to check the right level of English for your needs if you were planning to go abroad to pursue further studies or to undertake non-academic training or work experience.
The British High Council conducts IELTS tests to help the people going abroad for higher education.
