Jain College Team walks away with Winners’ Trophy

After some intense quizzing and keen contest, Udbhav Tiwari and Radhika Radhakrishnan of Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain PU College walked away with the coveted winners’ trophy and a laptop each at the regional finals of the Bangalore edition of the TCS IT Wiz 2010 here on Thursday.

They will now compete with the winners of 11 other regional rounds in other cities for the TCS IT Wiz National Champions title in December.

The event, said to be India’s largest tech quiz for schools, was open to students of class 8 to class 12 (including PU students).

The event conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) received an overwhelming response in the city with over 1,000 students participating in it.

Milind Hegde and Vikas Kashyap from Sri Kumaran Children’s Home (CBSE) received the runners-up trophy along with a notebook (computer) each.


Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde, N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, president, TCS Financial Solutions, and Nagaraj Ijari, vice-president and head of TCS Bangalore Operations, gave away the prizes.

The six regional finalists also received an array of prizes, including backpacks, MP3 players, headphones, T-shirts and water sippers.

The winners will also get a chance to have dinner with N. Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD of TCS.
