JVV to conduct Talent Test on 4th October, 2012

The annual school – level science talent test organised by the Jana Vignana Vedika will be conducted on 4th October, 2012, said JVV State Secretary Jampa Krishna Kishore.

The test, to be conducted to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sir C.V.Raman, will be in both English and Telugu languages. Students studying in eighth, ninth and tenth standards only can take this test by paying [rupee] 5 for the Telugu version and [rupee] 10 for the English version.

The questions in the test will be related to Science, Mathematics, Social, General Knowledge, Environment, Save Energy and other Social Aspects for 50 marks. Students who secure the first, second, and third places at the school level test will be eligible for the mandal / city level test.

The winners in this mandal / city level test will be eligible for district level test and those winning again will appear at the State level test.

In the state level test the questions will be for 75 marks and for the other 25 marks students would be required to create a working model on the topic “Sustainable energy for all” to mark the UNICEF’s declaration. Prizes will be distributed to the winners of all levels separately.

There will be one first prize awarded, two second prizes and three third prizes awarded at the State level test for English and Telugu mediums separately.

JVV to conduct Talent Test

The Jana Vignana Vedika ( JVV ) will conduct science talent test at Vijayawada on 28th February, 2012 to celebrate National Science Day.

The JVV leader Jampa Krishna Kishore said that a school level talent test would be conducted on 7th February, 2012. A mandal level or city test follows it on 14th February, 2012, and district level talent test would be conducted on 21st February, 2012.

The state level test would be conducted on 28th February, 2012 and 29th February, 2012. The JVV would present a cash award of [rupee] 20,000 to first prize winners ( separate prizes for English and Telugu media ), and [rupee] 10,000 to second prize winners. Likewise, the third prize winner would receive [rupee] 5,000, he said.

A fee of [rupee] 5 and [rupee] 10 would have to be paid by the Telugu and English medium students respectively. A written exam with 75 questions in science, mathematics, social, general knowledge, environment etc. subjects would be conducted to the students.

JVV Science Talent Test for School Children

Jana Vignana Vedika is organising its State – level Chekumuki science talent test for high school students on 24th December, 2011 and 25th December, 2011 at Miryalguda in Nalgonda district. Two hundred students from across the State are set to participate in the annual event, a press release said on 22nd December, 2011.

Apart from quiz rounds, the event one will have demonstrations, experiments, debates, and film shows, giving it the flavour of science festival, the note said.

The event is the culmination of three earlier rounds respectively at school, mandal and district levels. More than 9.5 lakh students from 15,000 schools in the State participated in the school level test this year, the note said. Rajiv Vidya Mission is partially supporting this year’s event.

JVV Science Talent Test

The Jana Vignana Vedika, an organisation for dissemination of scientific information, will conduct the JVV Science Talent Test at the state level for school children. For the last 20 years, this test was being held on November 7 to mark the birth anniversary of Nobel prize recipient and noted scientist Sir C.V. Raman.

In a statement here on October 3, 2011, JVV founding member and state secretary Jampa Krishna Kishore said that the school – level talent would be held on October 22, 2011 followed by mandal and city level test on October 2, 2011 and district level test on November 5, 2011.

The state level talent test will be held at the Sri Rama Rural Educational Institutions, Chilumuru, Guntur district, on November 14, 2011. The winners of the test at the lower level would be allowed to participate in the higher level tests.

There will be first, second and third prizes at every level. The JVV was working in the areas of spreading awareness on science, education, health, environment, women empowerment and cultural arena.

Mr. Krishna Kishore said that the test was open for students of 8th, 9th and 10th classes only studying in Telugu and English media. The subjects to be covered in this are science, mathematics, social, general knowledge, environment, energy conservation and other socially relevant themes. Prizes and citations would be given to the successful student at every level.

Mr. Krishna Kishore said that special awards would be given to the schools from where more than 100 students participate in the tests. The winners of state level test would be taken on a tour to the Buddhist circuit in Guntur district, Undavalli caves and the Haailand theme park on November 13, 2011. The test was being conducted in association with the AP Council for Science and Technology, the AP Pollution Control Board and the Non Conventional Energy Development Corporation of AP.
