JNAFAU offers Courses in Gaming
Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the professional game design and training school, Backstage Pass, to offer professional degree courses in Game Art, Game Designing and Game Programming.
The MoU was exchanged between varsity Registrar S.K.Rahman and the Advisor & Board Member of Back Stage Ramesh Subramaniam here on Monday.
Three courses of four years’ duration – Bachelors of Fine Arts (Game Art), Bachelors of Fine Arts (Game Design) and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Game Development, are being offered.
JNAFAU Vice-Chancellor P. Padmavathi said the university was already engaged in collaborations with private institutions to offer courses in animation, and interior designing.
Courses in gaming will be conducted by Back Stage on their premises at Madhapur, while the university will design the curriculum, conduct exams and issue certificates.
Courses are likely to begin from September and admissions will be through an entrance examination the dates of which will be notified soon, she said.
