JEE Interface Group to Assist Joint Apex Board in conducting JEE 2013

The JEE Interface Group ( JIG ) will assist the Joint Apex Board ( JAB ) in conducting JEE 2013. It will also coordinate and normalize school board marks of different states. JEE scores will be used for providing admission to all centrally funded technical institutes. The MHRD ( ministry of human resource development ) has issued its first official notification for JEE 2013.

As per notification, the JIG will coordinate with the CoBSE ( Council of Boards of Secondary Education ) and will be headed by a convenor nominated by the CoBSE. JIG will include 5 members from CBSE, IITs and one senior representative from the ISI ( Indian Statistical Institute ) nominated by the JAB. The notification also states that JIG will coordinate with school board and manage issues related to performances and evaluation of students in a normalized manner.

CBSE ( Central Board of Secondary Education ) would provide a permanent secretariat to JAB. JAB secretariat will be responsible for framing rules, policies and regulations for holding JEE and will also look after finances, administration, RTIs and court cases.
