Admission to Junior College : First Cut – Off List to be declared

The first list of seat allotments and cut – off percentages for class XI admissions in 159 junior colleges in the city and Pimpri – Chinchwad will be declared on 20th July, 2012. The class XI Centralized Admission Process ( CAP ) officials said the list will also be uploaded on www.dydepune.com and www.punenet.net around 3 pm.

There are as many as 64,380 seats, including 5,525 for bifocal courses, available in 159 junior colleges. The authorities received 60,662 forms, of which 3,340 forms were received from non – SSC boards. The CAP committee, a body headed by Deputy Director of education for Pune region and comprising representatives from junior colleges and high schools in Pune and Pimpri – Chinchwad, said that the confirmation of seats and the release of waiting lists will also be announced on 20th July, 2012.

The allotments of seats was initially scheduled for 18th July, 2012, but the CAP authorities postponed it by two days. “We had to postpone the procedure owing to some technical glitch,” said an official.

Applications invited for Junior Colleges Admission

District Collector and District Selection Committee Chairman S.A.M. Rizvi has invited applications from SC, ST, BC, minority and physically handicapped students who secured more than 400 marks in SSC examination for admission into reputed junior colleges in MPC, BPC courses.

Free training would be imparted for IIT, JEE, AIEEE, and EAMCET entrance examinations.

The free of cost applications were made available at SC, ST, minority, BC assistant welfare officer offices, Social Welfare department in Machilipatnam, TTDC Gollapudi, social Welfare Department, Patamata, district minority welfare officer’ s office in Vijayawada, BC Welfare Department, and ST Welfare Department Machilipatnam.

The aspiring candidates would have to submit their filled in applications to Joint director Social Welfare department Machilipatnam on or before 10th June, 2011.

Copies of SSC memo, bonafide certificate issued by school headmaster, caste certificate, annual income certificate, residence certificate and handicapped certificate if PH along with application, he said.
