Guidance Centres for Students

“We Help Guidance Centres,” have begun functioning at two schools in Kattappana, intended to provide help and advice to higher secondary students and their parents during the final examination period.

The centres under the Higher Secondary Education Department Kerala, were opened with the aim of reducing mental tension and other psychological problems among students who are writing the examinations.

They will guide the students and their parents in through the period of examinations.

Other Centres

The centres are part of the 14 similar ones in the State opened by the Higher Secondary Education Department.

The centres in the district are at St. George’s Higher Secondary School, Kattappana, and Fathima Matha Girls’ Higher Secondary Schools, Adimaly.

Students and parents can visit the centres or call on the phone numbers 9446720363, 9496341906 till 26th March, 2011.

The help of two psychologists is also available, said an official of the education department.
