Vocational Training by KIRTADS

The Kerala Institute for Research, Training and Development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (KIRTADS), Calicut is organising a 10-day workshop in ornament manufacturing for women in the age group 18-48 from Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The workshop named ‘Khungroo’ aims at giving vocational training for women and finding market for their products. Women’s Self Help Groups of not less than three members can participate in the training programme.

Applications prepared in white paper should contain details of age and caste and should be attested by the local Tribal Extension Officer, Tribal Development Officer or Integrated Tribal Development Project Officer.

Members of the same group can give a single application. The applications super-scribed as ‘Khungroo- ornament manufacturing workshop’ should be sent to the concerned in the mentioned address :

  1. Is there any special entrance for ST students those who did not get a minimum of 40% in KEAM 2012,like previous years.It will be helpful.please reply
