Institute of Management Studies and Research launched PG course in Entrepreneurship
The KLE Society’s Institute of Management Studies and Research ( IMSR ) has launched a new postgraduate course in entrepreneurship. Director of the society Shankaranna Munavalli told press persons Hubli on 6th July, 2012 that the course was autonomous and included three semesters, with an intake capacity of 40.
Market Assessment, Technical Feasibility, Market Feasibility, Financial Validity Studies, Business Presentation and Entrepreneurial Leadership would be among the course content, in addition to lectures by experts and practical training.
An interactive seminar on the course will be held at the IMSR premises on 15th July, 2012 at 10 am.

Management Fest to be held in Hubli
For the first time, Hubli will host a national – level management festival exclusively focusing on various aspects of the advertisement sector.
KLE Society’s Institute of Management and Research Studies (IMSR) will play host to the two – day event on 8th April, 2011 and 9th April, 2011 and 125 students from 25 management schools from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Karnataka are participating in it.
Shankaranna Munvalli, Member of Board of Management; and Prasad B. Roodagi, Director of IMSR, told press persons that the objective of the event was to identify creative talents in advertising and to encourage and promote creativity among management students.
Mr. Roodagi said the advertisement sector which had been growing at the rate of 18 per cent a year had thrown open huge opportunities before the management students.
However, many were not aware of the potential and the fest was a small step towards sensitizing them and for motivating students to develop interest towards the sector, he said.
He said during the fest 10 events would be conducted and a total of 24 prizes and the general championship trophy would be awarded.
Faculty coordinator for the event Supriya Hoskeri said that apart from creating commercial advertisements, the students would be asked to develop advertisements on social issues to give wider coverage to social problems.
