KU Degree Results 2013 released
Krishna University Vice – Chancellor V. Venkaiah on 26th April, 2013 released the degree final year results for 2013. Girls outsmarted boys with a pass percentage of 57.50. Only 36.85 per cent of boys cleared the examination.
Speaking to newsmen at a press conference, Mr. Venkaiah said the total pass percentage of all the degree courses was 46.91, which showcased the academic excellence and standard of the university when compared with other universities in Andhra Pradesh.
About 4,612 candidates of all the graduate courses from 101 affiliated colleges in Krishna district passed out from among 9,832 candidates who appeared for the examinations.
The results are excluding that of B.Ed and B. Pharmacy.
The examination results were available on the university website, he said.
Mr. Venkaiah said that instant examination would be conducted for students who failed in only one subject.
Krishna University Examinations Rescheduled
The Krishna University ( KU ) has Rescheduled M. Pharmacy, PG, MCA, and MBA Examinations Scheduled to be held from 22nd October, 2012. The decision has been taken in view of Dasara vacations and KU Youth Festival.
The M. Pharmacy II Semester Examination to be held on 22nd October, 2012, will be conducted on 9th November, 2012. The III, V, VII, and IX semester examinations of PG, scheduled to be conducted on 29th October, 2012, will be held on 8th November, 2012.
First semester exam of PG courses and III semester examinations of MBA and MCA to be conducted on 7th November, 2012, will be conducted on 9th November, 2012.
The MCA V semester examination, announced for conduct on 8th November, 2012, will be organised on 12 November, 2012.
Principals of M. Pharmacy, PG, MCA and MBA colleges affiliated to Krishna University and students have been instructed to notice the change in examination dates.
KU to Launch Distance Education
The Krishna University ( KU ) will introduce distance education system from the 2013 – 14 academic year. The new varsity is also planning to launch new courses, which have job potential, from coming year.
The KU, which has 800 students, is currently offering nine courses. A total of 141 colleges are affiliated to the university, of which 38 institutions are offering post graduate courses, university Vice – Chancellor Vunnam Venkaiah told to the Press People .
“The university is proposing to extend education in the distance mode for the convenience of employees and students. The varsity academic council will soon decide on what courses to include in the distance education. The staff has been asked to make a study on the demand for courses in the region”, said the Vice – Chancellor.
The Ministry of Human Resources Development ( MHRD ) was conducting an all India survey on higher education, advancement of websites of affiliated institutions under various universities. Krishna University stood top in the region, with all the 141 affiliated colleges upgrading their websites, said Mr. Venkaiah.
The KU senate, in a recent meeting, took a decision to strengthen the NSS and the Research Centre. As part of it, the management has appointed Journalism and Mass Communication Head of C. Moses Vinay Kumar as NSS Coordinator.
University academic coordinator Y.K. Sundara Krishna has been appointed the KU in – charge principal, while Prof. Ch. Jaya Shankar Prasad has been appointed coordinator of Centre for Research Studies, said the Vice – Chancellor.
The Varsity is planning to institute gold medals for meritorious students from the next academic year. The management has Rs.10 lakh corpus fund, for awarding the medals. “We request industrialists, NRIs and the philanthropists to come forward to institute gold medals for toppers in all the courses, which will be an encouragement for the fresh batch students,” Mr. Venkaiah said.
Krishna University PG Entrance Test commences on 3rd July, 2012
Students who have not yet submitted the application form for Krishna University post – graduate entrance test can take the examination on 3rd July, 2012 by submitting the forms in person at the examination centres, Director of Krishna University Directorate of Admissions M.V. Basaveswara Rao has said in a press release.
The entrance test would be conducted at Machilipatnam campus, Prabhas Degree College in Vijayawada, PG Centre in Nuzvid, and Vikas PG College in Vissannapet, he said.
Entrance Test Timings :
The test will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11 am for M.Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Commerce and Electronics; 11.30 am to 1 pm for M.Sc. Physics, Zoology, Social Work, and Economics; 2 pm to 3.30 pm for M.Sc. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, and Journalism and Mass Communication; and 4 pm to 5.30 pm for M.A. English, Telugu, M.Sc. Mathematics and Botany.
Students who did not receive their hall – tickets can show their photo identity card and get the hall – ticket directly at the examination centres, Mr. Basaveswara Rao said.
Meanwhile, researchers at the university launched week – long classes on the main campus.
Registrar D. Suryachandra Rao lighted the ceremonial lamp and said that the classes were being conducted as per the UGC rules with syllabus created under the guidance of the Boards of Studies.
Speaking on the occasion, Director of University Directorate of Research Admissions Y.K. Sundara Krishna said they would commence pre – PhD tests soon.

Krishna University Advance Supplementary Exams from 20th June, 2012
Advance Supplementary Examinations for First and Second year Degree students of Krishna University have been scheduled to begin on 20th June, 2012, according to the University Controller of Examinations In – charge D. Suryachandra Rao.
The examinations for first year are scheduled in the morning shift while those of the second year in the afternoon session. Fifteen centres in the district have been selected for conducting these examinations and all arrangements made, according to press release from the Krishna University Machilipatnam on 18th June, 2012.
The Controller of Examination stated that meetings of all under-graduate and post-graduate Boards of Studies were scheduled to be conducted from 18th June, 2012 to 29th June, 2012. Krishna University Vice – Chancellor V. Venkaiah said that changes in syllabus and teaching methods were to be discussed during these meetings. He asked the subject experts from all colleges to help improve the standard of education in the university. Meeting of the UG boards will be from 18th June, 2012 to 20th June, 2012, MBA and MCA courses board meetings on 20th June, 2012, 21st June, 2012 and PG board meetings from 27th June, 2012 to 29th June, 2012.
