Kyrgyzstan State University signs pact with VIT

The Kyrgyzstan State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the VIT University here recently for training its students in information technology and related areas.

G. Viswanathan, Chancellor, and D.P. Kothari, Vice-Chancellor, signed the agreement on behalf of the VIT University, while Rector A. Abdykalkou and Director Bishenbek T. Uruev signed it on behalf of the Kyrgyzstan State University.

According to a VIT release, the Kyrgyzstan State University sought the VIT’s expertise in technical education to train its students.

Top-up programs

The MoU envisages the conduct of top-up programs where the Kyrgyzstan State University students would study a part of their programme in their home country and complete the remaining part in VIT.

The Possibility of VIT faculty offering the program in the Krygyzstan university is also being worked out.

Though the priority is IT, other areas such as ecology and environment, transportation and renewable energy are also in the pipeline.
