Lakshmipat Singhania-IIM, Lucknow National Leadership Awards

The Lakshmipat singhania – IIM, Lucknow national leadership awards were conceived with the brief to honor exceptional individuals who have contributed to the betterment of our country through their pursuit of excellence.

As you may be aware, the Lakshmipat singhania – IIM, Lucknow national leadership awards are already established and have gained prominence as an apt benchmark of leadership talent across various segments in our country.

In the last 2 years personalities who truly embodied the spirit of infinite excellence of human endeavors in every sense of the word, like Sh. Ratan N.Tata, Dr.N.R. Narayana Murthy, Dr.R.A. Mashelkar, Prof. C.N.R.Rao, Smt. Ila Bhatt & Sh. Rajendra Singh were awarded in the leaders category and Smt. Malika Srinivasan, Sh. Shirish B. Purohit & Dr. Rajesh Kumar in the young leader category. None other than the President of India honored them. Dr.A.B.J Abdul Kalam and Hon’ble Finance minister of India, Sh.P.Chidambaram at the award functions held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

In line with today’s requirement of fostering and nurturing leadership talents in the country, the Indian institute of management, Lucknow together with JK organization has instituted these awards. IIM, Lucknow conceived 21 years back as a premier business school has achieved international acclaim and is rated as one of the top management institutions in the country.

J.K. Organization founded over 100 years ago is one of the most eminent groups in India. Shri Lakshmipat Singhania was a visionary and chief architect.

The Awards – 2006

The Awards comprising of a Trophy and a Citation, shall be given to outstanding individuals in the following categories.

Business

  • Leader
  • Young Leader ( below 50 years )

Science & Technology

  • Leader
  • Young Leader ( below 50 years )

Community Service & Social Upliftment

  • Leader
  • Young Leader ( below 50 years )

Criteria for Selection :

Nominee Should : Be a resident of India-have shown exemplary performance, despite challenges, and contributed in his/her field for the larger goal of society and nation building-have high personal values and ethics-not be active in politics, films and sports – any other differentiator deemed appropriate by the advisory / july – the nominee for the young leader category should be a person below 50 years of age, who has shown exemplary performance recognized in the country with potential to reach the pinnacle in the years to come.

How to Nominate

Please send your nominations by 31st August 2006 giving name of the nominees, category for which nominated, if possible address of the nominee and reasons for nomination, your name, address, telephone, fax, and email address. Please send your nominations on plain paper or downloaded the nomination form from the web address below. Please use separate sheet for each nomination.
