Sports complex coming up at engineering college

A ₹ 1.75 crore sports complex, named after former Maharajah of Vizianagaram, the late P.V.G. Raju, is coming up at the M.V.G.R. Engineering College, Chintalavalasa near Vizianagaram.

Chairman of MANSAS Trust P. Ananda Gajapathi Raju and secretary of Andhra Cricket Association G. Gangaraju laid the foundation for the complex on 09 February, 2011.

ACA has sponsored the complex and would also maintain it. The complex is meant for cricket and provision would be made for other games, according to a press release from the administrative manager of ACA – VDCA stadium B.J.J. Raju.

Among those present were Principal of MVGR Engineering College K.V.L. Raju, vice – president of ACA D.V.S.S. Somayajulu, treasurer of ACA P. Appala Raju, secretary of North Zone of ACA N. Prabhakara Rao, secretary of Vizianagaram DCA G. Ramachandra Raju, Director (Cricket Operations) of ACA and former Indian Cricketer M.S.K. Prasad, Members of MANSAS, ACA and Vizianagaram DCA.
