UGC – NET December 2012 Exam Results declared

The results of the University Grants Commission – NET examination held on 30th December, 2012, were declared on 26th March, 2013 Monday night with 39,226 out of 7.8 lakh candidates passing it.

“A total of 39,226 candidates have qualified for the eligibility of lectureship. Out of these 39,226 candidates, 3,669 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship,” said the UGC.

NET – December 2012 was also conducted completely in objective mode in 78 subjects and at 77 centres spread across the country.

The candidates were allowed to carry the copy of OMR answer sheets on the conclusion of the exam.

The Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa and Alagappa University Teachers’ Association ( MUTA ) will organise a training programme for the candidates, who will appear for the first paper of the National Eligibility Test ( NET ) conducted by the University Grants Commission ( UGC ).

The NET will commence on 30th December, 2012. In a press release, MUTA has invited postgraduate students and teachers from arts, computer science and electronics to attend the training that would be held at the MUTA Office in Kakkathoppu.

The training would be conducted from 26th November, 2012 to 17th December, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interested candidates can call 0452 – 2341272 / 9443830200 for joining the class.

UGC NET Results Declared

As many as 43,957 of the 5,71,627 candidates who sat for National Eligibility Test ( NET ) in June have qualified the examination, the result of which was announced on 18th September, 2012.

Of the total qualified candidates, 3,625 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship.

The minimum qualifying criteria for general category candidates was 65 per cent, for OBC it was 60 per cent and 55 per cent for SC / ST and candidates with disability.

UGC, which conducts the test to qualify as a lecturer, had uploaded the answer keys and question papers on its website and invited online feedback from the candidates. The answer keys were re – examined and updated wherever necessary before finalisation of the result, said UGC in a statement.

 

NET 2012

NET to be conducted on 17th June, 2012

Applications have been invited for the National Eligibility Test ( NET ) for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship to be conducted on 17th June, 2012 by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and the University Grants Commission for science subjects.

The test centres include Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Karaikudi, Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune, Varanasi, Delhi, and Kolkata. A candidate may apply for lectureship only or for both.

Those with an M.Sc. degree with minimum 55 percent marks ( 50 percent for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, the physically and visually challenged, and those with a Ph.D. degree who have passed the Master’s course prior to 19th September, 1991 ) are eligible to apply.

Those who have appeared, or are appearing, for their final M.Sc. examinations during 2011 – 12 are also eligible to apply for the test. The upper age limit for JRF is 28 as on 1st January, 2012, relaxed up to five years for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Castes, the physically and visually challenged, and women.

The single – paper test will have multiple – choice questions. From 9 am to 12 noon, the test for life sciences and mathematical sciences subjects will be held. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the tests will be for chemical sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean, and planetary sciences, and physical sciences.

The syllabus and the scheme of examination have been posted on www.csirhrdg.res.in

Applications can be submitted online up to 21st March, 2012 on the website. Offline application forms and information bulletins can be had from selected branches of Indian Bank up to 20th March, 2012 on payment of Rupee 400 ( Rupee 200 for reserved sections ).

The filled application forms or printouts of online applications, along with documents, should be sent under certificate of posting or by ordinary post to the Senior Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Pusa, New Delhi – 110 012 so as to reach the official on or before 26th March, 2012.

 

UGC NET for JRF / Lectureship

JRF / Lectureship UGC – NET Exam on December 24

The UGC – NET ( National Eligibility Test for JRF / Lectureship ) exam will be held on 24th December, 2011.

Nearly 5,800 candidates are appearing for the NET exam at 10 centres in Madurai for various subjects, according to a press release from M.Rajiakodi, Registrar In – Charge, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai on 17th December, 2011.

The 10 exam centres in Madurai are :

  • Lady Doak College.
  • MKU College.
  • MKU Evening College.
  • MSS Wakf Board College.
  • MAVMM Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
  • St.Britto Higher Secondary School.
  • SEV Matriculation Higher Secondary School.

  • E.M.G.Yadava Women’s College.
