NIOT announces Underwater Robotics Competition
The National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai, is organising a competition for students for designing an underwater vehicle for ocean observation for engineering students.
Students can apply through their educational institutions. The team should have a minimum of five participants from various disciplines.
The panel set up by NIOT will scrutinise all the applications and select the entries for phase I.
The successful teams will be assisted by a mentor who will help in developing the concept. NIOT will also extend guidance through its state-of-the-art facility and industrial experience.
The performance of the teams will then be assessed and moved to phase II. The successful teams will be asked to design the engineering design model.
The winning team may be able to participate in the International AUV competition to be held in the US.
