Students of PSSR School to visit New Zealand in May

Ten students of Parvathamma Shamanur Shivashankarappa Residential School (PSSRS) at Davangere will leave for New Zealand on 2nd May, 2011 under a 20 – day educational and cultural exchange programme.

Mohanty, Principal of the school, said in a statement here on 18th April, 2011 that the students would present a Power Point presentation on Indian arts and culture at Reporoa College in New Zealand.

They would take part in various academic and cultural programmes with students in that country. The students would discuss and exchange views on various subjects, including graphics, economics and wood technology, Ms. Mohanty said.

The 10 students are Kiran, Harsha, Shubham, Sagar, Rohan, Rishikesh, Allan, Sachin, Vinay and Abhishek. Some of the students of PSSRS had visited the U.S. and China in previous years under similar programmes.

The students’ team would be led by Umesh Purohith, teacher.
