Registration open for Pre – counselling Guidance Programme for Students at Kochi

Registration is open for the pre – counselling guidance programme that The Hindu – Education Plus is organising in Kochi on 6th May, 2011 for students seeking admission to courses in various professional streams.

The half – day programme, scheduled at Gokulam Convention Centre, Kaloor, will also include an education expo, with stalls featuring education – related offerings from various organisations.

It will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., as part of the event. This programme in Kochi is part of a series of similar programmes being organised by The Hindu – EducationPlus in other parts of the State.

Entry, on first – come – first – served basis, will be free. But seats may be limited and advance registration is recommended.

The programme will specially focus on the changes in the admission procedure with the inclusion of marks in Plus Two examinations and the process of normalisation.

Apart from an overview of the key courses and the career and course options, the sessions will focus on strategies relating to the online seat – allotment process. A perspective will also be offered on courses in the engineering stream.

Participants can put forward questions to a panel of experts at an interactive session. IT@School, the communication partner, will telecast a programme subsequently through the VICTERS channel.

A specially produced handbook with detailed information on courses will be provided to each participant free of cost.

Chennai – based Bodhi will offer a free personality test to students at the event venue.

Registration is open for the pre – counselling guidance programmes to be conducted by The Hindu – EducationPlus in Kannur on 4th May, 2011 and Kozhikode on 5th May, 2011 for students seeking admission to courses in professional streams.

The half – day programme, scheduled to be held at Royal Omars at Thavakkara in Kannur and at Calicut Tower, near Mofussil bus stand, in Kozhikode will be from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

These programmes are part of a series of similar events being organised by The Hindu – EducationPlus in other parts of the State.
