Private Engineering Colleges

With allotment of seats by the convenor of the EAMCET, the private colleges are now behind the students who were allotted seats as well as those who were not allotted seats as they had not put the options properly at web – counselling.

‘If you are not satisfied with your allotment college / course please contact us. Estd. in 2004, we offer seats in ECE, CSE, IT, EEE, MECH and CIVIL’ were the SMS messages being received by the engineering students and their parents.

There are more than 20 engineering colleges located in the district mostly at Patancheru.

“Many of the colleges failed to get the seats filled in various streams last year and there are instances where some of the streams were not filled even with half of the actual seats.

The situation is worse this year,” said a faculty member in a private engineering college on condition of anonymity.

A private college, which is in demand has been offering mechanical engineering seats for 1 lakh per annum.

“Depending on the demand we may increase or decrease the fee. As the allotment of seats by the EAMCET convenor was over, we may decided about fee in a day or two,” said another engineering college lecturer.
